Hacettepe ASO 1st OIZ Vocational School offers practice- and employment-oriented education by combining the academic strength of Hacettepe University with the production experience of industry. Throughout their two-year education, our students have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in classrooms and laboratories in real working environments through extensive workplace-based training conducted during the summer periods and throughout the second academic year.

Thanks to our location at the heart of industry, our students gain first-hand knowledge of production processes, use up-to-date technologies, develop their professional skills and experience the expectations of the business world before graduation.

Our Vocational School educates qualified technicians through:

• The Alternative Energy Resources Technology Programme, focusing on renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable technologies;
• The Electricity Programme, covering the generation, transmission, distribution and control of electrical energy, as well as its industrial applications;
• The Machinery Programme, focusing on CAD–CAM, CNC technologies, manufacturing, maintenance and repair, and quality control;
• The Industrial Product Design Programme, covering user-centred design, three-dimensional modelling, ergonomics and prototyping.
