Vision

To be recognized as a leading and preferred educational program in the sector; to prepare its graduates for the future with sustainable and innovative approaches that meet the requirements of the 21st century and support technological and digital transformation.

Objective

To train students as well-equipped, innovative, and solution-oriented technicians in the field of electricity and energy.

Goals

It aims to ensure that students acquire 21st-century skills as individuals who can effectively use modern technologies and digital tools, adapt to constantly evolving technological innovations, and produce sustainable and innovative solutions to technical problems.

About the Program

In today's world, where industrialization and technology are rapidly developing, the use of electricity is increasing rapidly every day, and there is almost no area where electricity is not used. In this context, training qualified technical personnel in electricity is of great importance in terms of developing technology and increasing the added value created for the economy. To serve this purpose, our program trains qualified graduates who are equipped to keep up with science and technology, possess analytical thinking skills, can effectively use, interpret, and analyze the knowledge they have acquired, respond to the expectations of the business world and industry, and have the ability to work at both national and international levels.

The purpose of the program is to train qualified personnel who can work in all sectors operating using electrical energy, as well as in organizations operating in energy production and distribution, organizations producing goods based on energy technology, or organizations providing maintenance and service for all these technologies, and who can be employed by environmental technology manufacturers based on energy or service-providing organizations in relevant fields.

Qualified personnel are trained to meet the demands and developments of the sector in matters such as the production, transmission, and distribution of electricity, factory maintenance and control, the operating systems of electrical machinery and motors, the design of electrical installations, and the introduction, operation, and troubleshooting of all electrically operated systems. The courses of the program are prepared to achieve this goal by considering their suitability for developing technology and validity in the market, as well as their compatibility for transition from associate degree education to undergraduate education. With its expert academic staff, advanced computer, and electrical-electronics laboratories, wide opportunities are offered for students to expand their knowledge and experience.

Our Vocational School and program are integrated with the industry in educational activities; by creating an educational program compatible with the academic career goals of the academic staff, establishing cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, and providing opportunities such as projects, symposiums, workshops, training seminars, and technical trips to our students, we maintain high graduate quality and create qualified employment.

Students graduating as qualified personnel are highly preferred by the sector as they will take part in the installation of all kinds of facilities, the continuous operation of enterprises, the control, maintenance, and repair of electrical devices and tools, in factories, and in the continuity, production, transmission, and distribution of energy.

The ASO 1st Organized Industrial Zone, where our Vocational School is located, is one of the most developed industrial basins in our country, where approximately 277 factories carry out their activities. In the program, in order to develop qualified workforce and application skills, our Electricity Department students carry out on-the-job skills training for a total of 146 days, two days a week during their course terms that include internships, and throughout the entire summer terms, in enterprises suitable for their fields of expertise. Students who can also find the opportunity to work full-time in these enterprises will start their business lives at a certain level of experience at graduation by blending their theoretical knowledge with the practical knowledge and experience they have acquired.

Protocols with Leading Organizations in the Sector

Laboratory Environment

While our students use state-of-the-art computer and electrical-electronics laboratories in applied courses and realized project studies, they are provided with materials and personal protective equipment that they can obtain free of charge. Our laboratories are designed in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety rules, and students are given Occupational Health and Safety courses during their education.

Applications, Projects and Equipment

Our students can work and conduct examinations on the projects located in our laboratories and can use all equipment and materials available in their own projects.

Our students are followed through WhatsApp groups and the graduate information system module on our Vocational School's website both during their student years and after graduation. Our graduate students are primarily employed in the firms where they did their internships.
